This is Nancy that I have introduced before. I came across her pictures when I was tidying up my hard drive.
Realistic pictures is one strategy. One other is to make it look so good that guys are willing to take a chance.

Why I don't like CA agencies
They are opportunists. They don't have reputation. They suddenly appear and advertise with high profile, grab the money and run. If they stay on the limelight they will easily be the target of law enforcement. (thought there are underground agencies that rely on word of mouth)
Dani is from one such agency, who claimed that their girls start from $900, and that's what Dani charges. The agency didn't post any other girls on the internet. From her picture you can guess that she won't be around for long. She and the agency disappeared in weeks.
But her picture is something. Can you see her bra lines? That shows nothing is retouched. And you can use the small tattoo to ID her without seeing her face in the pictures.

Boyfriends 3 1/2
Alternative endings.
In the Tracy Quan novel, she married a rich banker but didn't stop hooking. It seems to be an awkward story line but perhaps there's not much real alternatives. A banker must have asked her for a prenuptial agreement. Since it's too easy for the marriage to fall apart, it's best to work while you can to save some money.
Rich is relatively speaking. A house by the beach costs a few million. Half of that isn't that much. If you divorce it's less competitive than unmarried gold diggers. Again, saving extra hundred grand or two or three isn't a bad idea.
In Chanel's case she couldn't accept the marriage, which is always on offer. She rather held on to the benefit of having a rich boyfriend, keep the cards and the car, and continues working if she likes to. If she get married the first thing she has to do is to get pregnant. He's passing his prime soon. That's the unsaid condition attached. To her that's the end of her working life, and the end of her life as she knows it.
I would think it's easy to sign the paper and then quit. There's not likely to be a prenup and she would get half. But she couldn't do it. That's plain cheating. She has her family reputation to think about. If she doesn't take this chance, she may do a lot better but not a lot worse. She couldn't give up her reputation for a million, or two or three.
But if her boyfriend gave her a few years before having children, I think she will definitely try it. There's little difference compared to a girlfriend and she will get half at the end, if she still doesn't want to have children.
There's more to it. His whole family is against her, treating her as a gold digger. He doesn't approve of her circle of friends, the circle who don't know that she's a hooker. When he left town for business, she went with her friends to Hawaii. He tested her and she failed, even though her mother covered for her. That's what he needed to break up.
To her, rich is natural, included by default in a husband. Otherwise, did she work for nothing? She couldn't say good things about him. Good looking is out of the question. I may have seen him perhaps - there's not that much good Japanese restaurant in this part of town. They weren't that close as she didn't find him easy to talk to. With friends, she could close the door and talk all day or night. Her mother doesn't care about the smoke as long as the door is closed. I had the luck to call her out once when her hair is full of smoke.
As for the easy of breaking up, Pretty Woman said it all. Sooner or later you will run into old clients, who still wants you, or want to take advantage of the situation . For reasonably unforgettable girls such as Chanel, you can imagine how many guys know her and how many will recognize her.
Chanel didn't care to leave her old life behind. She kept seeing her old friends like Joann, her old buddy. Maybe she is always thinking of coming back to hooking full time. Maybe she can talking anything with her. One day she had dinner with Joann at a place convenient to her work. She never stopped working full time. It's unlikely for anyone to remember Chanel as she didn't work in the area for a long time. But people recognize Joann at the restaurant and couldn't stop themselves from going up to Joann and asked to be introduced to Chanel, assuming she's game. They knew it's a very bad thing to do, but they couldn't help themselves.

A girl from Demimonde doesn't like French manicure. I'm not sure why but she likes short and light pink nails. Isn't that French?
Maybe French have to be custom made fake nail extensions. But if you haven't got lovely nails, French imitates natural nail - pink color and whitish tips.
The length shouldn't be the issue. You can have as short as you like. They are supposed to look like real ones. Though some may op for the square look, like hospital patient cuts. But more likely the technician didn't spend enough time to tailor made the shape.
But those are trivial issues. In LA you can have any shape you want, coil up, claw. And the technicians try to make the nails as long as possible to fit in the custom decorative patterns. And as James said, nobody really walks here.

Boyfriends 3
The rich boyfriend who doesn't know (that her girlfriend is a hooker).
When Chanel came clean on her boy friend, it occurred to me that the story is straight from the Tracy Quan novel. Even though I regard her as the professional liar, her story makes a lot of sense. I guess it's common for hookers to have a rich boyfriend? Not? And I didn't understand why Jane didn't believe it.
For the "rich" bit, if you are anywhere successful as a call girl, you are not working just for survival, but for money, perhaps lots of money. And since it's not likely to work out, why waste time on a poor guy? And because of self esteem, you are not expecting the ideal man, why tolerate shit from a poor guy?
How come he doesn't find out? Richness also comes into play. He may want a trophy wife, or cute babies. Other than that, he wants to keep part of his life private from his girlfriend. Maybe he's already working on mistresses who don't qualify for wives. His excuse is busy. They don't see each other that often, maybe some weekends or family occasions. She lives with her mother. He doesn't want her to think that she has to provide sex all the time in return for her spouse AE card. She doesn't want to look like a gold digger. Getting piles of gold cards but providing little in return doesn't count as gold digging. It's gifts with no strings attached. It's a perfect match. She has plenty of time to see clients.
How did she get a rich boyfriend? Clients are looking for call girls that they don't (or can't) date. With some experience, she can be everything for everybody. If you need class, it's pretty easy to see how the other half (the rich) lives. Unlike Compartment girl, if you take it easy, by not insisting on charging full rate for everything, you will get lots of invitations to top resorts, best restaurants in town, big boats, exclusive golf clubs.
In Chanel's case it's robbing johns to look good in front of peters. Each time I didn't pay her enough for a pair of her shoes, or sun glasses. But it doesn't take many johns to finance her wardrobe. She looks ultra high maintenance on big occasions, where big fishes would turn up, or someone would fix her up with someone.
Chanel's mother must be beautiful. She had a hard time bringing up her children, sometimes a single mother, but all turned up rather well except for the youngest Chanel. Nobody in her family knows that she is a hooker. Her sisters and half sisters married quite well, i.e., rich husbands. Her sisters have decent jobs and at least one even made a great deal of her own money in the booming years. They gradually moved up to Newport Beach or Newport Coast.
(Since I hate the ideal of becoming The Graduate, who is recognized by all hotel staffs, I tend to make use of cheap online deals to get random hotels every time. Chanel hated that as she has no sense of directions. If GPS were affordable as now, I would have given her one. But once she knew how to drive down to Newport Coast, the areas in between became easy. Before that she drove round and round but couldn't find Crown Plaza by the 405 freeway. Now Extended Stay America well hidden deep in Newport Beach was easy for her - she seemed to know the cross streets well. Or perhaps she gained a few clients in Newport Beach.)
When Chanel's brother-in-law went to South East Asia for business, her sister stayed for her job and the kids. But her brother-in-law would phone everyday and night to check on his wife! To make things worse, his wife would organize girls' (??) night outs when the husband is away. Anyway, Chanel has plenty of family and friends who could fix her up with somebody who is doing pretty well.
Rich boyfriends have higher potential for happy endings. But still it's hard for things to work out well. To be continued next time...
